Vertical construction at Fields West is expected to begin this fall, marking a major milestone in the highly anticipated $2 billion mixed-use development.
Infrastructure work is well underway, including utility installation and pad preparation. Pier drilling for building foundations is expected to begin in August. Construction documents and pricing for all three phases have been received, developer Fehmi Karahan said in a April 30 email to Dallas Business Journal.
The development is expected to be built out in three phases. Moisture conditioning — adjusting the wetness of soil for optimal stability for foundations — finished for the first phase in late April, architecture firm Gensler told the Business Journal during an exclusive construction tour of the site on April 29.
